Sean grew up in Burlington, Ontario and began his journey of faith at Park Bible Church where he was baptized in his late teens.
After completing a PhD at McMaster University, Sean worked for nine years as an Assistant Professor of Literature and Interdisciplinary Studies at Briercrest College in Caronport, Saskatchewan. During this time, he was also an associate pastor of a missional church called The Gathering.
Sensing a call to fulltime pastoral ministry, Sean left Briercrest and spent a year in Mombasa, Kenya where he managed a guesthouse with his wife, Mandy, and two daughters, Brooklyn and Rosie. He then returned to Ontario to become Pastor of Discipleship at St. Paul’s Bloor Street in Toronto and later an assistant curate at Church of the Resurrection. God eventually led Sean and his family to Trinity after serving as Rector of the Parishes of Waterford and St. Mark’s in New Brunswick.
Earlier in his life, Sean never imagined that he would end up being an Anglican priest, but he is grateful for God’s leading. Nothing gives him greater joy than helping others to follow Jesus in life together.
In his spare time, Sean likes to shoot pool and play darts. He also enjoys the occasional whiskey and fly-fishing for brook trout.
