Canon Vicars serves as part-time Priest Associate.
Vicars hails from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. His career progressed from management positions in the corporate world until when, in 1983, a profound spiritual experience led him to surrender his life to Jesus Christ, prompting a shift in his life's trajectory. He was ordained in 1990 and has served parishes in Ontario and New Brunswick.
Throughout his ministry, Vicars has been actively involved at both the Diocesan and national church levels, serving on Diocesan Council, General and Provincial Synod, and participating in various ministries. Vicars has a passion for and a deep desire to share the faith with those who do not yet know Jesus. He has a deep love for the Holy Land and her peoples and has taken numerous pilgrimage groups to experience the land called the “Fifth Gospel.” Vicars often describes himself as “someone learning to follow Jesus.” He is passionate about God's word, he encourages the faithful to discover and use their gifts for Kingdom purposes
Vicars is married to Carole and they have joy in being parents of three amazing adult children and three grandchildren. . Vicars looks forward to the challenges and possibilities at Trinity Church, and is thrilled to be part of the Trinity’s leadership team.
